How many of us loves Turquoise?  A lot! It’s a very common name and very well known.  The vibrant blue color is a wonderful pop and addition to almost any design and the matrix of Turquoise can be spectacular.  Many have a love affair with Turquoise and it’s been used for eons.  Archaeological and literary references to the stone predate the Christian era by five millennia!  Explorers such as Marco Polo took time to write about it. Turquoise was likely found and used by early man. Certainly, the prehistoric peoples of the Western hemisphere knew about turquoise; pieces have been found in burial and archaeological sites throughout the two continents. It seems clear that turquoise was always considered a stone of life and good fortune and it even had healing properties. Many people from around the world found uses for turquoise in numerous ways.

Turquoise –

Turquoise crystallizes in the form of masses, stalactites, veins and crusts. It strengthens and aligns all chakras, meridians and subtle bodies.  It elevates all chakras and can facilitate attunement between the physical level and the higher planes of existence.  It can bring any and all energies to a higher level, it does, however, primarily stimulate the throat, heart and naval chakras, bringing communication skills to emotional issues, to creativity, and to intuition, while allowing for the application of love in all issues.  Native American Indians considered Turquoise to be a protective stone and a bestower of goodness.  It is said to promote spontaneity in issues of romance and to stimulate the initiation of romantic love.  Turquoise is also a master healer, emanating a purifying energy which tends to dissipate negativity; it is an excellent anti-negativity stone.  It can aid in the absorption of nutrients, can help to stimulate the regeneration of tissue and can act to increase circulatory flow to the muscular tissue.

This is a really versatile mineral, color-wise. I use it for both cool and warm projects because it combines green and blush beautifully. I love the color mix and matrix of this stone and of course, the healing qualities are extremely helpful for most clients. I enjoy this bracelet because it’s a substantial width, giving TONS of color and texture but it’s so very LIGHT! It offers slight movement on the wrist light bounces off of it’s different surfaces.

Unakite –

Unakite is a form of rock made up of mainly pink feldspar, green edidote and quartz. It brings ones consciousness to the present, allowing those “easy” times of unconscious to dissipate. It further acts to balance the emotional body, bringing it into alignment with the higher forces of spirituality. It can help one to deal with both the information and the events of the past which have instilled blockages within the meridians and energy centers of the body.
